I am excited to produce your audiobook, or short story for ACX, in an American male voice. I specialize in short fiction, non-fiction, and memoirs.
I love reading and want to narrate your audiobook. All books are recorded and mastered to ACX standards. If ACX doesn't approve your book due to formatting or other technical issues, I'll correct it.
It is important to me that you are happy with your audiobook narration. I want to provide not only a great audiobook but the very best customer experience.
I will provide/deliver:
- A 15-minute sample (So, we can agree on tone, characters, pacing, etc.)
- Opening + Closing credits
- A single file for each chapter (If less than 120 minutes)
- A Retail Sample

All scripts should be well-edited, and clear.

I’m a recently retired business professional, who enjoys telling many types of stories. I have presented in front of corporate VPs, and read stories to my children and grandchildren. I’ve been a creative storyteller all my life.

When can I expect my book to be completed?
For orders that are under 2500 words, you will likely receive your audiobook within 48 hours. If your book is larger than 2500 words (Most books are), please contact me and we will negotiate a suitable time and cost that works for us both.
Do you offer revisions?
My goal is to deliver a satisfactory recording the first time. That's why directions are required upfront. Obviously, if I mess up there's no cost to fix that. However, script revisions are $5 for 50 words. My goal is 100% client satisfaction and always provide my best effort.
Will you proofread my script, make any required changes?
I would be happy to do so. I can help ensure your script is easy to understand AND sounds natural. Please select the “Script Proofreading” gig extra.
How should I send you the manuscript?
Manuscripts should be provided in one of the following file formats: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), PDF, or as text in the body of a message or email. The Word file type allows me the opportunity to take notes, make any required corrections, and highlight character dialogue.
Are you familiar with ACX submission practices and requirements?
Yes, I have successfully recorded and produced 12+ audiobooks that are currently available on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon.
Where are you located? What time zone?
My time zone is Central Time Zone (UTC-6). I am located in the great state of Texas.
What are “Commercial Rights”?
If you intend to use the voice over for ANY non-paid business-related purposes, you will need to purchase the “Commercial Rights” gig extra. More info can be found at: https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service#ownership
Is there anything you do NOT / will not do?
I will not record scripts with explicit sexual content, or scenes of explicit personal violence. If you are not sure or have questions about this, please contact me directly.
How will I receive the finished files from the narrator?
I will record and save each chapter as a separate file, as well as opening and closing credits, prologue, epilogue, afterword, retail audio sample, and any other section important to the book. You will receive the files perfectly mastered and guaranteed to meet standards to easily upload to ACX.
Will you upload the finished files to ACX?
If you wish me to upload the finished files to ACX, please add the “Upload files to ACX” Extra when placing your order. You will need to list your book on ACX, then select me as the narrator. On ACX I can be found as: “Charles (Chuck) Conover.” Please contact me with any questions.
