I design, build and operate automated trading systems end to end — from raw data feed to live orders — and run them 24/7 on real markets with my own money on the line. That last part matters: everything I build has to survive contact with reality, not just look good in a backtest. What I've built and operated: • Grid trading bots for crypto futures (KuCoin), with laddered entries, risk caps, adaptive position management and Telegram remote control • Value scanners that compare bookmaker prices against exchange markets in real time across multiple sites, with automated logging and audit trails • Betting exchange automation (Betfair API): market monitoring, in-play triggers, order placement with retry and reconciliation logic so no order is ever silently lost • Backtesting harnesses with walk-forward validation, permutation nulls and baseline comparisons — built specifically to catch the data leaks, survivorship bias and cherry-picked samples that make dead strategies look profitable • Data pipelines: scrapers and API collectors feeding SQLite databases with thousands of recorded events, all timestamped and reproducible • Monitoring infrastructure: watchdogs, heartbeat checks, scheduled tasks and alerting, so a silent failure gets caught in minutes rather than days The discipline I bring is scepticism. Most strategies fail honest testing, and the most valuable thing I do is prove it before real money finds out. When I report a number, I can show you the funnel that produced it: every filter, every sample, every assumption. If a result can't survive that, it isn't a result.
