What is your background in writing and performing Stand-up comedy
I started my stand-up career in 1986. I toured full-time for a dozen years. I've done around 2000 shows. I've taught a few hundred workshops and I've coached dozens of comedians.
How do you teach stand-up comedy?
Stand-up comedy is a science. It can be learned step by step. There is writing and performance. I teach both based on information I get from each client. It's customized for each person.
Is doing stand-up easy?
I have found that what people think will be the hardest parts turn out to be easy and vice versa. It is learned step by step and is easier than people think. Some take to it like a duck to water. ...others have to work to get a float. It's so fun it's well worth the effort.
Can I make a living doing stand-up comedy?
I did for many years and I was much younger and not the brightest bulb in the box. So if I can do it you can too. When I started there was no internet. So many opportunities to market yourself nowadays. It's the Wild West out there!
