Skipped some historical details while getting your draft done? I will read your historical fiction work and help iron out details unique to life in the Western world from the medieval era all the way through the early 20th century.
My specialties are in historical clothing (especially corsets) and the treatment of horses, but I am an experienced researcher and will help with all of the aspects that I can, as well as locate sources for further reading.

What are your qualifications?
In addition to my research qualifications, I worked for a long time at a Living History museum, where I was an educator as to everyday life in the Victorian era. I have also done costume research for the Theatre, and have dramaturgy experience. I have also worked with horses for over 20 years.
Why do I need this service?
Long answer: to provide verisimilitude in your work, so that readers aren't distracted by historical inaccuracies. Short answer: avoid the internet trolls.
What kind of writing should I submit?
This service is for HISTORICAL FICTION and FANTASY writing only. My specialty is in historical clothing and horses, but I will do my best with anything you throw at me.
What do I get with this service?
Line notes for correcting historical inaccuracies. If you select the "Reader Report" option, I will provide an in-depth report and offer suggestions and sources for further reading. I will NOT provide line edits, though I do have a separate gig for that.

Byriverknight came through entirely for us; she worked through our large manuscript, sussing out not only what needed correction/attribution but also what perhaps could have been written in a more circumspectual manner. It was great to work with her!
