Parts may require better wall thickness, draft angles, ribs, screw bosses or assembly clearances before tooling review. I approach these projects by understanding the product's intended function, examining the existing geometry and identifying possible design improvements. Using parametric CAD workflows, I develop clear models that communicate the intended part geometry and assembly arrangement. I also prepare technical documentation and review files for discussions with prototype suppliers or manufacturers. My goal is to help reduce avoidable design confusion before production decisions are made.
