A business coach needed to convert a chart-heavy manuscript into an elite corporate-level print asset. They wanted a detail-oriented freelancer who is skilled in using Adobe Indesign to format and design books. My role: I designed the interior of the book, formatted it into a print-ready PDF suitable for paperback and prepared a Kindle or ebook version of it as well. What the client wanted: >> A print‑ready PDF for KDP paperback (6x9 trim size). >> A professionally formatted EPUB for Kindle/eBook. >> Clean, business‑appropriate typography. >> Clickable table of contents for digital readers. >> Correct margins, gutter, and page numbers. >> Consistent chapter starts and layout design. >> Final page count for cover wrap design. Format Montessori Brochure With Illustration Images and Front Cover for Print

The client's brochure project aims at being both parent and children friendly (aged 18-24 months) so it is a mix of minimalist design, creative use of white space and readable typography. In the process of formatting the brochure and having it ready for print, I: - Converted PNG logo to vector format - Flattened icons and made them suitable for print - Used CMYK and ensured all images used met the 290-300 DPI standard quality for Print. - Kept images that weren't full page and icons/illustrations at 5mm away from the paper egde. - Added Bleed and constrained text within margins. - Set the export file to be Print-ready PDF/X-1a standard modified Gloss lamination (Coated outside, Uncoated inside). Each brochure has its signature color band strip at the end to indicate the different book in the series. After a few revisions, the client was pleased and approved the first book's design.
