As a bookseller, I ring up books and merchandise, handle cash and cards, promote memberships, handsell our books of the month, and recommend stories tailored to the reader’s interests. I also create tables and displays on end caps, centered around bestselling authors, seasonal themes, and trending topics. Additionally, I’ve been cross trained in the Barnes & Noble cafe. As a barista, I’ve taken orders, made hot and cold drinks, and prepared sandwiches and soups. In both the bookstore and the cafe, I work with customers to create the best experience in their book buying endeavors.

I worked on two articles for the Snow College Magazine, one for their new Center for Rural Studies building, and the other being an Athletics Update for the 2021-22 sports season. This included research, writing, and interviewing individuals. Unfortunately there was no room for the Center for Rural Studies article, but the Athletics Update did get published in the Fall 2022 issue.
