I will create a simple cart website using Django
the website will have
1- home page contains products
2- product detail page that will allow the customer to see the details and add product to his cart
3- cart detail page that contains number of products in cart and the total cost
4- checkout page that contains a form for user address and order total after adding shipping cost
5- thank you page after the order is submitted
6- order management page , to see each order with it's detail like
total cost , customer information , status (Pending, In Processing, Dispatched, Delivered, Refunded)
Pending : when the user clicked on checkout but hasn't placed the order yet
In Processing: after user submission
Dispatched,Delivered,Refunded: you change these manually depends on the order
and the default Django admin app that you will use to add new products and managers
add online payment with Paypal, payment with credit card with stripe or any other payment service if they provide clear docs
