Kennametal India Ltd. | WIDMA Executive Manufacturing – Mechanical Design Aug 2022 – Oct 2026 (including the EMERGE graduate trainee programme) I bring 4+ years of industrial engineering experience, developing precision CNC grinding machines and mechanical assemblies. My work connects SolidWorks design with manufacturing, assembly and service needs, helping turn concepts into practical, buildable solutions. Key achievements: • Released 500+ manufacturing drawings and designed approximately 10–12 complete assemblies under technical review. • Supported 50+ customer machine orders across 7–8 variants, including projects for Cummins India, Allison Transmission and Rothe Erde. • Held sole mechanical design responsibility for the VXL linear-motor grinding platform, under senior technical review. • Designed a compact three-axis gantry that integrated tool loading inside the machine enclosure, replacing an external robot-loader station. • Developed a direct-drive automatic wheel changer that reduced part count and simplified assembly. • Implemented approximately 70–100 engineering changes to improve manufacturability, serviceability and assembly. • Earned Kennametal's individual Impact Award for gantry design and machine upgrades; contributed to two projects receiving team-level Focused Recognition. My skills include SolidWorks 3D modelling, assemblies, 2D manufacturing drawings, GD&T, BOMs, structural simulation, fixtures, sheet metal and machined components. I have also trained 3–4 contract engineers and coordinated with suppliers and assembly teams. I hold a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from VIT Vellore and mechanical design certifications from Dassault Systèmes and NASSCOM.
