I build automated trading systems in Python and indicators in Pine Script. Full time for the past year, on my own system: a live Bybit setup running nine accounts, around 14,000 lines, with signals coming from a Pine v6 indicator through a webhook gateway I also wrote. Nobody paid me to build that — I trade my own money, which is why I care about the boring parts most developers skip. Dropped websockets. Partial fills. The same alert arriving twice. ASTRUM is my own trading system. I've worked on it full time since June 2025 — nobody commissioned it, I trade my own money on it, and that changes how you write code. Roughly 14,000 lines of Python driving nine Bybit accounts. Signals come from a Pine Script v6 indicator I wrote, through a webhook gateway that turns an alert into a real order without me touching anything. Parameter searches run on rented GPU machines, Optuna workers writing into one shared Postgres study. Most of the year went into failure cases rather than features. Websockets that drop and reconnect holding a stale position. The same alert delivered twice because TradingView retried it. Partial fills that quietly break your sizing. Restarts where the bot's idea of the position and the exchange's idea disagree. I won't pretend the system is finished, it isn't. But it runs live every day, and every edge case above is one I hit myself before I fixed it.
