My role as a nursing instructor at a local college plays a significant part in strengthening my effectiveness, credibility, and overall value as a medical UGC (user-generated content) creator. Teaching future nurses requires not only a deep understanding of clinical knowledge, but also the ability to communicate complex information clearly, accurately, and responsibly. These same skills translate seamlessly into creating high-quality content for healthcare, wellness, and medical brands. As an instructor, I am constantly reinforcing foundational and advanced nursing concepts. This keeps my medical knowledge current and sharp, ensuring that the information I share in my content is accurate and aligned with best practices. In the ever-evolving healthcare field, staying up to date is critical. My teaching role requires me to review guidelines, evidence-based practices, and procedural standards regularly, which allows me to confidently create content that reflects current, reliable information. Brands benefit from this because they can trust that the messaging I deliver is not only engaging but also medically sound. One of the most valuable skills I’ve developed as a nursing instructor is the ability to break down complex medical topics into simple, digestible information. Nursing students come from a variety of backgrounds and learning styles, so I’ve learned how to adapt my communication to meet different needs. This directly enhances my UGC work. Whether I’m explaining how a product works, demonstrating proper use, or educating an audience about a health topic, I am able to present information in a way that feels approachable and easy to understand. This is especially important in healthcare content, where confusion or misinterpretation can lead to mistrust or misuse of a product.

My experience as a surgical nurse plays a major role in making me a trustworthy and relevant UGC creator in the medical and healthcare space. Working in surgery requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety. Every day, I am responsible for maintaining sterile environments, anticipating patient needs, and ensuring that procedures are carried out safely and effectively. This level of responsibility translates directly into the content I create. Because of my clinical background, I understand how medical products and healthcare services are actually used in real-life settings. I am familiar with proper techniques, safety considerations, and the importance of accuracy when discussing health-related topics. This allows me to create content that is not only engaging but also credible and responsible—something that is extremely important when audiences are making decisions about their health. In addition, my experience working closely with patients has strengthened my communication skills. I know how to explain complex medical information in a way that feels clear, approachable, and reassuring. This helps me create content that builds trust with viewers, rather than overwhelming or confusing them. Being a surgical nurse also means I am held to high ethical and professional standards. I carry that same level of integrity into my UGC work by being honest, transparent, and mindful of the information I share. Overall, my background allows me to create content that stands out because it is grounded in real experience, professionalism, and genuine care—qualities that both brands and audiences can trust.
