Personal Portfolio — Design & Development Process For this project, I designed and developed my personal portfolio website with the goal of creating a digital experience that reflects my approach to **brand identity, logo design and graphic design**. I wanted the website itself to function as part of my portfolio, so instead of using a highly decorative interface, I focused on a **minimalist editorial aesthetic** where typography, spacing and visual hierarchy are the main design elements. Visual Direction I started by defining a simple visual system based on three main colours: Off-white as the primary background Blackfor the main typography and interface elements Red as the accent colour The red accent was intentionally used in specific areas rather than throughout the interface. This creates contrast and gives the website a recognisable visual identity without overwhelming the content. The main heading uses extremely large typography to immediately establish hierarchy and create a strong first impression. I also used the red colour selectively within the name to create a visual focal point. Layout & Composition I designed the layout around a strong **grid-based structure**, using generous whitespace to create a clean and sophisticated composition. The navigation is intentionally minimal, with only the essential sections visible. This keeps the interface uncluttered and allows the visitor to immediately understand the purpose of the website. The hero section follows a clear hierarchy: **Category → Name → Description → Services → Call to Action** This structure allows the visitor to understand who I am, what I do and where they can explore my work without unnecessary interaction. Typography Typography plays a central role in the design. I used a combination of large display typography and smaller supporting text to create a clear hierarchy between the different levels of information.
