What do I need to get started?
A Mac, Linux machine, or VPS (DigitalOcean, AWS, etc.) with Node.js 20+. You'll also need an API key from at least one AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). I'll walk you through everything.
Can I use this with my existing tools?
Yes. OpenClaw integrates with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Notion, GitHub, home automation (Hue, Sonos), cameras, and hundreds of tools via MCP servers and custom skills. If there's an API, we can connect it.
Is my data private?
100%. OpenClaw is self-hosted — your data never leaves your machine. No cloud dependency. You own everything. That's the whole point.
What AI models does it support?
Anthropic Claude (Opus, Sonnet, Haiku), OpenAI GPT5+, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, local models via Ollama (Llama, Mistral, etc.), and any OpenRouter-compatible model. You can switch models per-session or per-agent.
Can you build custom skills for my specific workflow?
