AI Page Manifest (AIPM) – Open Source Project AI Page Manifest (AIPM) is an open-source initiative created to explore how websites can communicate more effectively with AI systems and Large Language Models (LLMs). For more than twenty years, websites have relied on standards such as robots.txt and Schema.org to communicate with search engines. As AI-powered search and answer engines become increasingly important, websites also need structured, machine-readable information designed specifically for AI understanding. AIPM introduces the concept of a page-level AI manifest. Instead of relying only on HTML, each page can expose structured AI metadata through a dynamically generated xxx.ai.json endpoint. This allows AI systems to better understand page purpose, entities, relationships, structured content, update timestamps, and other contextual information. The project is fully open source and continues to evolve through experimentation, implementation, and real-world testing. The concepts developed through AIPM are also implemented within the AigeoRadar platform, allowing WordPress websites to automatically generate AI discovery resources without requiring manual coding or configuration. This project is focused on improving AI discoverability, machine-readable content, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) while remaining compatible with existing web standards.
