Hi, my name is Ahmad Hamayun. I am a lawyer in Pakistan and a partner at Hamayuns Legal and IP Consultants, a firm that has served legal and corporate clients worldwide for the last 18 years, including clients in the USA, Canada, China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Finland and Turkey.
I hold an LLB and an LLM, secured first position in the Diploma in Intellectual Property Law at the University of the Punjab, and hold international IP certifications from WIPO.
Under this gig I provide the full range of Intellectual Property services in Pakistan:

Registering a business name, company name or domain name does not give you exclusive rights to it. Only a registered trademark gives you the exclusive legal right to use, license, assign and enforce your brand.

Are the official IPO-Pakistan government fees included in your price?
No. My fee covers the legal work: search, drafting, filing and follow-up. The official IPO-Pakistan fees are paid separately, and I will confirm the exact amount for your classes before you order.
How long does trademark registration take in Pakistan?
Filing is completed within a few working days and you receive your application number right away. Examination, publication in the Trade Marks Journal and the opposition period usually take 12 to 24 months before the certificate is issued.
Do I need to be in Pakistan or have a company here to register a trademark?
No. Foreign individuals and companies can register trademarks in Pakistan through a local agent. I act as your agent and handle the whole process. You only need to send your details, your logo and the goods or services you use it for.
How many classes do I need, and what are they?
Classes depend on the goods and services you actually sell. One application covers one class in Pakistan. Send me a short description of your business before ordering and I will tell you exactly which classes you need and what each one costs.
What happens if my application is objected to or refused?
I draft and file the reply to the examination report or show cause notice and attend the hearing before IPO-Pakistan. I also handle oppositions, reviews and appeals. Objections are common and most are answerable.
Do you handle copyrights, patents and designs as well?
Yes. I file copyright, patent and industrial design applications in Pakistan, and I draft IP agreements, licences and assignments. Message me with what you need and I will send a custom offer.
