BellaVida Hotel (Dominican) • Freelance

For this project, I built more than just a hotel website; I engineered a digital nervous system for a resort in the Dominican Republic. Because the owner lived abroad, the system had to act as their "remote eyes and ears," preventing internal theft and automating the entire guest journey from a different continent. The "Impossible" Algorithm The first challenge was the booking logic. Industry-standard APIs like Cloudbeds were too slow and limited for the specific needs of this property. I bypassed these limitations by developing a custom high-performance availability algorithm. It handles complex date-span checks—finding a single room available for a 10-day stretch—and returns results in milliseconds. By building this logic directly into my database, I ensured the site was faster and more reliable than any off-the-shelf solution. Bridging Software and Hardware (IoT) The centerpiece of the project was the Windows Kiosk I integrated for the hotel lobby. To eliminate human error and staff loopholes, I built a check-in flow that requires a passport scan and live face-matching via a camera. Once the guest is authenticated, the system uses the Seam API to generate a unique digital key for the room lock. The password is then automatically sent to the guest’s phone. This created a secure, "staff-less" check-in process that significantly reduced the risk of unauthorized room access. Total Operational Control The backend is a live "War Room" for the business. I designed a real-time workflow to track every department: Cleaning & Maintenance: Live status updates for room readiness. Restaurant & Service: Integrated food order and delivery tracking. Security & Follow-up: Constant guest communication tied to their specific check-in window. By bridging web software, hardware (IoT), and security protocols, I turned a high-risk, manual operation into a secure, transparent, and profitable business.

Translator Exchange • Freelance
Mar 2020 - Mar 2025 • 5 yrs
The Translator Exchange was a project where I truly saw the power of software to transform a business. I engineered this platform to solve a massive bottleneck, ultimately helping the company scale its revenue from 40L to over 1Cr in a single year by turning a manual process into a high-speed, automated marketplace. The Marketplace Engine I designed the system to act as an intelligent bridge between admins and a global network of translators. When an admin publishes a job, the system doesn’t just wait—it proactively notifies the right translators based on their specific language pairs. I built a competitive bidding system and a full workflow that handles everything from assignment and tracking to automated invoice generation. I even added a "Professional Touch" feature that allows admins to generate custom PDF certifications with the company logo for their translators. The Technical Breakthrough: 90% Faster Workflows The real "engine" of this project was the translation workspace. I moved away from traditional document editing and built a custom HTML-based editor. By breaking files down into granular data—blocks, paragraphs, and sentences—I created an environment where translators could edit with extreme precision. I integrated DeepL and Google Translate APIs to provide instant "auto-translation" drafts. This shifted the translator’s role from manual typing to high-level proofreading, reducing the time spent on a single file by nearly 90%. The "Hands-Off" Completion Loop I wanted the final stage to be seamless. Once a translator completes their work, the admin is notified instantly. After a quick review and confirmation, the system takes over again, automatically emailing the final translated file to the customer. By building this end-to-end ecosystem, I didn't just write a program; I built a scalable business model. It was incredibly rewarding to see how a well-architected system could lower costs while simultaneously exploding growth.

Montesino Translation • Período integral

For my work with Montesino Translation, I didn’t just build a website—I built the entire nervous system of the business. The goal was to take a manual, slow-moving translation process and turn it into a high-speed, automated machine. The heart of this project was the Auto-Quotation System. I wanted to eliminate the "waiting game" for customers. I developed a system where a user could upload a file and receive an instant, accurate price. Under the hood, this was a massive technical undertaking. I had to dive deep into Linux-level libraries and Python to handle high-speed file processing. By integrating the Google Vision API and using custom image processing techniques, the code could "read" the documents and calculate costs without any human intervention. It was incredibly satisfying to see a complex file get a price tag in seconds. I also wanted the customer experience to feel as modern and intuitive as ordering food on Swiggy or Zomato. I built a high-conversion payment ecosystem that handled layers of complex logic. Users could stack reward points (5% of their previous spend), use variable-discount coupons, or apply fixed-amount gift cards—all before checking out via Stripe, Authorize.net, or PayPal. To keep the customers in the loop, I built a "Track Order" feature. This wasn't just a simple status update; it pulled live data through APIs from a completely different website, ensuring the user had a single source of truth for their project’s progress. Behind the scenes, I architected a comprehensive CRM that managed everything. From customer service tickets to detailed client quotations, the backend gave the staff total control over the workflow. Whether a user was on the web or using the mobile apps I built (Ionic, Native Android, and Swift), the experience was seamless. This project wasn't just about code; it was about transforming a business's operations to be faster, smarter, and much more profitable.
