Should I contact you before ordering?
Yes. Send your website URL, hosting provider, current PHP version if known, and any error or vulnerability report. I will review the requirements and confirm the package, scope and delivery time before you order.
Which websites do you support?
I work with WordPress, Laravel and custom PHP websites. Compatibility depends on your application, themes, plugins, dependencies and hosting. I assess these before recommending a PHP upgrade.
What is included in each package?
Basic provides a PHP version, compatibility and security assessment with written findings. Standard upgrades PHP on one compatible website. Premium adds up to 3 agreed security or compatibility fixes. Larger work is quoted separately.
Will a PHP upgrade break my website?
Older code, plugins or dependencies may be incompatible with newer PHP releases. I check compatibility, agree a backup and rollback plan, use staging where available, and test key functions. Major code changes require a separate quote.
Do you create backups before making changes?
Before an upgrade or fix, we confirm a restorable backup of the website files and database and agree a rollback plan. Backup availability and restoration options depend on your hosting environment.
What access will you need?
Depending on the task, I may need temporary hosting panel, SFTP/SSH, website admin or code repository access. We agree the minimum permissions needed. Use temporary access where possible and revoke it after completion.
Does this include malware cleanup or every security issue?
The work covers the agreed PHP issues and package scope. Malware cleanup, full penetration testing, major rewrites and complex server migrations are quoted separately. No update can guarantee that a website is free of all vulnerabilities.
What will I receive after completion?
You will receive a summary of the checks performed, changes made, key functions tested and any remaining issues or recommendations. The Basic package provides assessment findings; changes are included only in the agreed upgrade or remediation scope.
