The land is merely a temporary habitat. I am Patricia, an oil painter specializing in interdisciplinary marine biology. I combine the microscopic studies of shells, corals and fish scales by a craftsman designer with the human body and marine organisms at the genetic level. I create portrait works that blend the mystery of the deep sea, fluid mechanics and the symbiosis of life through the integration of linen fabric, oil paints, metallic powders and the blue-green spectrum. The main character in the painting breathes water as well as air.
